EMA
MINNESOTA AMBASSADOR

During Covid I really struggled with my own mental health and got diagnosed with depression and anxiety. I really struggled with my self worth and became unmotivated to do anything whether it was homework, cleaning, eating, showering, talking to friends, etc. My junior year of High School there was three members in my community that died by suicide which broke my heart. As a swim team in Burnsville we decided to raise money for a cause and we chose the I'm Glad You Stayed Project because of their impact in the swim community and most importantly the "Just Keep Swimming" bracelets. After we raised money I had reached out to the non-profit and they prompted the idea of becoming an ambassador. I knew this was the right choice for me because I don't want anyone else to die by suicide.
